Drs. John & Rebecca Polis
John Polis was raised in Pennsylvania in the early 1950's and raised in the Roman Catholic tradition. In 1968 after graduating high school, John enlisted in the United States Marine Corps and served with the 3rd Marine Division in Vietnam. Returning home as a Purple Heart veteran, John searched out the "meaning of life" through the drug culture in the late 60's and early 70's, and found nothing but heartache and lack in his life.
In 1974 while living in Charlotte, NC, John heard the gospel of salvation through the testimony of a former United Methodist lady, Rebecca Ayers. This same Rebecca soon became his wife. After marriage they moved to Dayton, Ohio where John completed Bible College with a B.A. in Biblical Studies.
In 1980 opportunity was made available in Fairmont, WV, for them to lead a small pentecostal church. Three years later the name was changed to LIGHT OF LIFE WORLD OUTREACH CENTER to better define the vision which the Lord had given. This was the beginning of LIGHT OF LIFE NETWORK OF CHURCHES. Rebecca served along side John while the ministry continued to grow. God began speaking to them more indepthly of the vision and destiny He had called them to, and over their children and spiritual children also. It was evident that the Apostolic call that came in their lives in 1983 was being fulfilled and confirmed in their lives.
In 1995, Dr. John Polis founded Revival Fellowship International, Inc. A network of five fold ministers and ministries with a vision of restoration revival until Jesus comes. RFI is growing in the USA and tremendously overseas in the countries of Liberia, Croatia, Bulgaria, Malawi and South Africa, with doors opening constantly in other countries as well. Bible schools have been established in Niarobi, Kenya; and Monrovia, Liberia and one is in the beginning stages in Malawi. Others are in the seed stages in other countries as well. (We) believe in training the nationals to go into their own countries and equip them with leadership skills and biblical teaching that will help them succeed in bringing in a harvest in their own nations. RFI has a vision for Apostolic fathers and sons coming forth in the Body of Christ.
Dr. Polis is a member of the International Coalition of Apostles. He leads the School of the Shepherds training seminars worldwide. Dr. Polis opeartes a television and radio ministry, he has also authored many books which have been translated into other languages as well. Rebecca
Polis also pastored Light of Life World Outreach Center, along with Dr.
John from 1980-1995. In 1995 Dr. Rebecca became the Pastor of
Restoration World Outreach Center in Asheville, NC
at it's inception. John & Rebecca still pastor Light of Life World
Outreach Center.
Dr. Rebecca Polis received a Doctorate of Theology from Logos Christian College in Jacksonville, FL.
Having celebrated over 26 years of full time ministry, Drs. John &
Rebecca faithfully mentor men and women to recognize and develop their
full potential in Christ. Dr. Rebecca leads and ministers in women's
conferences in the USA
and overseas. Along with her husband, she teaches in the School of the
Sheperds seminars. She is a conference speaker and has been on numerous
missions trips. Dr. Rebecca hosted a television program called "Present
Truths" in WV & SC for over a decade and is the main speaker on the
"Restoration Today" television programs that aired in western NC. Dr.
Rebecca's teachings are powerful, practical, and applicable to everyday
life.
